About Leinen, Inc.

Leinen, Inc. started business on May 10th of 1954 when  Paul Leinen, Sr. (Tootles) purchased a hardware store in Portsmouth, Iowa.  Sales primarily included sales of hardware and appliances.  In 1962, he built his first warehouse and began handling bagged fertilizer in 50 lb. bags.  In 1964 he started to handle bulk fertilizer and added a blender.  Then, in the late 1960’s, he expanded his business to anhydrous ammonia sales and added some nurse tanks. In 1970, he added grain bin sales and service and overhead wiring.

Paul Leinen, Jr. purchased Leinen, Inc. in the spring of 1997 from his dad. Leinen, Inc. now has a full line of Ag-Chem rogators and floaters to custom apply chemicals, fertilizer and lime. The floaters are all fully equipped with GPS Technology and are capable of variable rate application of fertilizer and lime.  Recently Leinen, Inc. has added bulk seed and bulk seed equipment to expand our service to our customers once again.

Leinen, Inc. is proud of its employees and the jobs that they do. We are always looking for quality people to join our team. Please check our employment page for further details.
